Do you want to get into better physical shape, or handle your finances better, or adopt a sustainable diet? You can figure out what is hard for you and aim for growth in those areas.

Maybe something that we haven’t mentioned just yet? Who knows – it may be the one that’s holding you back from your dreams. Growth and success mean different things to different people. But you can set goals in four areas. These are professional, relationships, intellectual and physical health. You can think about your own life to work on these areas too.
Professional goals include short and long-term goals. These goals also include professional development such as certifications and attending conferences.
Relationship goals usually mean finding love or strengthening your current partnership. If you want to find love, you can work on defining and meeting your perfect partner. If you’re in a partnership, maybe something needs to be rekindled or quit fighting.
When you grow, you can learn new things. You can finish a long book that you have not read before. You could also play the piano or do a crossword every day.
Physical health is one of the most important parts of your personal development plan. Your goal might be to lose weight or get six-pack abs. But, it goes deeper than that. Physical health is about living a lifestyle that will make you feel good and give you energy for other things.
HOW TO CREATE A PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN
1. DETECT WHAT YOU REALLY WANT FOR YOUR PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT
The first step in developing a personal development plan is to think about what you really want. You need to think about the results that you crave. What is your desired outcome for this pursuit? Here is a small example of how you can get started with your personal development plan
1. Write down what you stand for
2. Write down all of the things you need to do to do what you want
3. Give each thing a time limit – set deadlines
4. Prioritize them from most important to least important or from least difficult/time-consuming to most difficult/time-consuming
5. Start with the first thing on your list and focus on it until either completed or set a deadline that is before the next step, then move on to step 2
6. Keep going through the list, one by one, according to their priority, until you have accomplished all of the tasks on your list
7. If you miss a deadline, start with that task or project and then continue through your list until completed (or set another deadline and repeat steps 5 and 6)
8. Accomplishment = done! Set new goals, making sure they are properly prioritized to ensure you will be successful in accomplishing them too!
EXAMPLE OF BUILDING A PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN
1. I stand for being honest, always doing what’s right even when no one is watching, never giving up, believing in myself
2. Participate in an organized sport at least once a week – 30 minutes every time; if not possible, do 20-minute workouts three times a week instead
3. Get to school early every day
4. Finish math workbook or review sheet at home before studying/doing homework
